Mirroring Self

One of my favourite songs is “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson.  It puts me back in the decision making seat.  It allows me to re-assess and to acknowledge that inspite of what is happening I have to look at myself and ask why and how did I find myself in the place I am.  You see I always have the choice of choosing and with choices come consequences whether negative or positive.   We all have to use ourselves as a yardstick towards getting from life what we truly desire.

I can’t be self centered.  I have to show empathy and love, first to self and then to others.  For it is only in loving oneself can you truly give to everyone else unconditional love and acceptance.  It begins with me, and you and ends with everyone else.
