Whether we are caged or free
there are boundaries
to be crossed
daily in our lives
The free man thinks he is free
but he is not
There are hoops and snares
he has to encounter
daily in his life
The free man
obsessed with being free
doesn’t even notice
the impediments along the way
The caged man knows he is caged
And longs to be free
How free can one be
when oppression rules your day
