Grief is a natural occurrence, things don’t always remain the same. If they did we wouldn’t crawl, walk, stand or run, seeds won’t sprout and grow into trees. Everything changes. Life is always in motion, nothing remains the same, we grow old, grow out of relationships or become more intertwined in them, but eventually we leave or they leave. There is no permanency in our present state of being. We are all evolving so it behoves each of us to enjoy the seasons of our lives. Joy and grief are flip sides of the same coin. Acceptance and resilience is the only balm we need in our time of grief.
