Investment in abusive relationships, whether it be friends, work, family or abode is the glue that keeps us tied to our abuser.  The only investment worth having is the one with ourselves.   Being afraid of losing all our money and time causes us to ultimately lose ourselves.  Time is too short to make compromises that ensnares us instead of freeing us.
