Interactions in life aren’t like elasticity, we cannot allow ourselves to be pulled hither and thither. In everything we do we have to create the standards we will adhere to and the behaviours we will accept or reject from others towards us. If we don’t hold ourself to a high standard we will become the trashcan of others.
