We have to examine what it is that lies at the core of our desires. Are we obsessed with the need to impress? Is there a need to be validated? Do we consider ourselves to be damaged goods? Our motivation lies in the lies we tell ourselves about ourselves. Self examination puts into prospective what it is that ails us.
