Our decisions shouldn’t be based on fear or favour. The only person we owe favour to is ourselves. Ingratiating ourselves to others is a failed premise. It’s either people like and appreciate us for who we are and what we stand for, or they take the next exit. Life is too short, we can’t afford to play an extra in anyone’s circus.
