On whom do we lay our trust? Do we expect other people to keep our secrets? Secrets are best kept by the people they belong to. To keep disappointment at bay trust no one except yourself.

  1. Norma, thanks for telling me this about twenty years too late. But yes, it is so important to not make assumptions when entering into social contracts. Secret keeping is something we are great at doing when it is to the detriment of others and bad at doing when it comes to protecting others from hurt and pain.
