Most of us know that love is not elusive, it is not something we have to pay a sacrificial price for. We all know the difference between love and lust. If we have to exhort people to love us, that is unreal. If we have to cower and be disrespected in the name of love that is insanity and we need counselling. When we begin to nurture the love that is within us only then are we in a position to love others reciprocally and with respect. Relationships, whether familial or romantic are meant to be a place of respite, especially in a world full of deceit and hatred. We are the manifestation of love, it breathes, lives and abides within us.
