We commit acts of treachery against ourselves by betraying our core values.  Are we committed to the idea of subservience, rather than living and breathing the reality of who we are, a human being.  It is not dysfunction that causes us to wear the mask of fear.  Living and knowing that there is nothing we did to attract the evil that lurks and overshadows us, whether we are awake or asleep, damages our psyche.
