Hypocrisy

Hypocrites are good at telling stories. Don’t listen to their tales, look at the casualties they create. People whose tongues exudes the sweetness of candy can wreck your life in the twinkling of an eye. It’s not what they say, it’s what they do that matters. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2025

Spinning Tales

Be wary of people who draw attention to their charitable character. Praises are warranted but don’t expect to be honoured for doing the bare minimum. If you are seeking adulation be honest with yourself and others. Speak the truth, be the truth, live the truth. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2022

Tales

Tales are an attempt to cover-up our misdeeds. If evil is one of our vices let’s own it. Wearing masks doesn’t hide our identity. The totality of a man lies in the work he does. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2021

Restructuring the Truth

We reconstruct the truth because of our desire to portray ourselves as benevolent beings. We become weavers, we weave stories that have a few threads of truth, and a whole lot of lies. As we listen to tales we should consider the source. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2020
