When we are set in our ways and cling to the idea that it’s our life and we will do as we please, we can’t expect others to mop the floor up for us. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2024

Reflection

We are the reflection of our environment. Expectation is a two sided coin. Nicety has no relationship to honesty. What we see is not always what is. Everything is in motion. Now is all there is. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023

Create

We can and must create the world we want to live in. It’s hopeless to have expectations of others. All talk must cease, the work has to be completed. Time lost can never be regained. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023

Forgiveness

Instead of expecting others to offer forgiveness we have to ask ourselves what our motive is before acting on our impulses. We can only have expectations of ourselves, and we ought not to use religion as a shield. We have to think on everything we say and do. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023

Expectation

Self expectation is our prerogative. We owe it to ourselves to be vigilant at all times. People are like toasts that are buttered on both sides. No one has to deliver on their promises. We are the only ones who can give to ourselves that which we need and desire. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2022

Disappointment

Disappointment rides on the heels of expecting other people to show up as their caricature. We believe in presentation. People wear masks and we have to rely on our discernment in order to separate truth from fiction. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2021

Always be Prepared

We know that life is seasonal. Seasons come and go. We can’t expect not to experience storms in our lives. Nothing remains the same. We can’t change the laws of the universe, the only thing we can do is to be prepared for its rotational flow. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2021
