Letting Go
We can’t be fearful of standing up for ourselves. If we continuously allow disrespect and unaccountability, regardless of whether it is family members, friends, or acquaintances we will forever be subjected to the indifference of others. Rational
We cannot expect people to be rational about the choices they make. Most of us are selfish, selfishness engenders disrespect, a feeling of superiority and lack of accountability, an expectation of forgiveness without an iota of empathy for the distress we impose on others. Acceptance
Acceptance is related to integrity. If we lack integrity we can’t expect others to accept us as we are. We have to be respectful and accountable to each other for unity to exist. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2024
