Masks
Masking our debauchery in a cloak of charity does not absolve us from our innate savagery. We have to take the time to dissect who we are and be transparent about it. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023
Unity
Acknowledging what we have, beginning with youth, health, the wisdom of our elders and the boundless abilities to accomplish our life’s purpose can be stymied if we forgo unity for personal aggrandizement. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023
Actions
We have to take an active role in our lives at all times. If we allow other people to be our stand in or make decisions on our behalf what happens in the aftermath is of our own doing. Inaction has consequences. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023
The Gods we Choose
The gods we choose have to be expressive of who we are. Worshipping idols like money, fame, diamond, gold, land and all the accoutrements that comes with them does not satisfy us, it creates an unquenchable thirst. Grief
Grief never goes away, it is like the undercurrent of the sea that no one can discern because it’s calm on the surface. We have to allow grief to have it’s way. In acknowledging grief we can crossover from pain to joy. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023
Progress
We are a work in progress. Some people might want to differ. It’s okay if you do. It isn’t where we were but who we have become. Every day we are given an opportunity to do better than the previous day. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023
Buttress
We are the buttress we seek. There is no saviour, we have to do the work that is required to overcome the difficulties in our lives. When we know and knowledge we are all we have the way becomes clear and uncluttered. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023
Action
We have to ask ourselves before deciding on what action we will take, whether it is motivated by greed, fear, intimidation or compulsion. Who we are is determined by our choices in times of adversity. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2023
