Solitude

Spending time in solitude is an opportunity to become better acquainted with self. We cannot de-stress if we do not create the time and space for that to happen. It is only in stillness that we hear the answers to our questions. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2020

Free Will

We all have free will over our lives and the pursuits we want to undertake. Our decisions are at the behest of ourselves and no one else. There is no other contract we are bound by other than the contract we made with ourselves. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2020

Méchant

There is a time for everything and wickedness like the seasons only lasts for a time. Change always comes. We all reap what we sow. We are born of the womb and at the end we are entombed. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2020

Stirring the Pot

If the pot isn’t stirred it’s contents becomes scorched. Do we want people in our lives who tell us what we want to hear, or are we willing to listen to the advice of others who might be more experienced than we are? Life is not about adulation and bigotry, it is about respect and […]

Righteous Indignation

We can only be righteously indignant if we aren’t part of the situation we find ourselves in. We have to control our own lives before trying to control the life of others. We are only a God to our self and no one else. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2020

Ownership

We have to take ownership of all we say and do. If we are living in bondage then our choices are limited. Bondage can take all forms, including addictive behaviour. Being dismissive and arrogant does not show strength, it attests to our weakness. Ownership opens the door to dialogue and reconciliation. We have to work […]

Becoming acquainted with Self

It is important that we embark on the mission of knowing ourselves. If we don’t get to know ourselves we would become like a leaf that is blowing in the wind. Don’t be anyone’s puppet, you are at the helm, steer your life in whatever direction you want it to take. When we know who […]

Reality

Reality based on who we are is a testament to our truth. Focusing on what we want others to think of us belies our true calling. It is a fallacy for us to approach life as if it is a recurring soap opera. There is no doing over. When we check out, that’s it. If […]

Appearances

We have to stop basing our acceptance or non-acceptance of people on their appearance. Some people are like gifts in a showroom, finely wrapped but empty inside. Charisma is not an indicator of a person’s character. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2020

Conduct

The ability to conduct one’s self leads to mastery over one’s life and circumstances. © Norma Bobb-Semple 2020
